   I am a loyal servant of my master. By his side I wish to remain. To guard him and keep him safe is my duty. His wish is my command. He was in the military which made things harder, but got easier when he got out. It wasn't long after that that the world ended, or rather began anew. Only a few of us willingly served someone. It’s cold and it’s raining, but to my destination I still must go. The rain feels like ice and the wind blows numbing my body. I’m traveling through the woods to get to his house. I’m exhausted from the fight but I cannot give up.  I trip and fall. I try to steady myself getting on my hands and knees and using a tree as leverage to get back on my feet. I still have a long ways to go. The rain washes the blood and mud off my body. Hypothermia starts to kicks in. My body feels so numb from the cold air, and my clothes are heavy from the rain fall. I think of the past in which I had hope and I dream of the future that will never be. A future in which I am happy with someone by my side as my friend, my lover, my companion, my everything. I am an alpha female of a pack that no longer exists with no sight of an alpha male. I don’t want to be alone anymore. I’ve been alone for so long, almost my whole life.
